Product Description
A plate of mountains, water, stone, bridges, and islands — reality compressed into a single dish.
Square: Mountains
“Encircled by Mountains” imagines a sense of security: an illusion of being gently held by the world, detached from reality.
Rectangle: Boat
“A Lone Boat” reflects the just-right social distance of contemporary life.
Oval: Bridge
“Stone Bridge, Flowing Water” searches for an ideal way of living — one that allows us to move forward slowly, at our own pace.
Square: Duck
“Spring Waters Warm, Ducks Know First” gestures toward nature’s innate wisdom:
to sense change early, stay alert, adapt to larger currents, and seize the moment.
Triangle": Pavilion
“When the Flood Sweeps the Dragon King’s Temple Away” portrays a state where mountains and waters remain, yet order collapses — a landscape of life in loss of control.
Within this series lies my own deconstruction of New Chinese aesthetics. Mountains are not lofty, waters not calm — perhaps a reflection of the present condition we find ourselves in.
