Product Description

This sculptural ceramic incense holder draws inspiration from the moment when xuan paper curls and burns. Its irregular form and pierced openings echo the burnt holes left on ancient paper, capturing a fleeting instant of disappearance.

The engraved calligraphy comes from Li Shangyin’s “Jin Se”, a poem from the Tang dynasty, adding layers of cultural resonance to the piece. Through the medium of ceramics, the design preserves a visual memory of burning paper—symbolizing both the fragility of tradition and the quiet persistence of culture in a changing world.

Each piece is handcrafted and truly one of a kind, with unique curves, variations, and glaze flow.Perfect for displaying incense as well as for use as a sculptural object in modern or New Chinese–inspired interiors.
